Born on the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada, I have lived and worked in central Florida most of my life. I am mostly self taught, experimenting with different techniques to achieve different results. My favorite mediums are Prismacolor pencil, graphite and pen and ink. My work is realistic in style with varied subject matter. Much of my inspiration comes from simple everyday objects and things in nature. My work has been accepted in gallery shows both locally and nationally and have received awards for my work. I have been a member of the Colored Pencil Society Of America (CPSA) since 1992.
Besides my art work in pencil, I recently became interested in creating earrings from colored recycled aluminum. I call them "AlumiLites" due to the fact that the aluminum material is light as a feather. I have many different styles, some engraved with designs. All earrings are hammered for texture and form, and earwires and jump rings are hand made from sterling silver or gold filled wire. I also use glass rainbow beads occasionally.
