Art is a state of mind…  It is the
physical body’s attempt to
recreate feelings and emotions.

I come from a long line of
eccentrics.  As far back as I can
recall, members of my family have
always had a way of getting
noticed.  There was always
something about them that
attracted attention, whether it was
the intricate detail on a cake, a
gently pressed flower in a
poetically written letter, or a
beautiful doll born of rags, there
was always an unexplainable
presence about them.  I believe
that my eclectic nature comes
from the conglomerate of the
large variety of creative genes of
my ancestors.

I am perpetual student, drawn to
new ideas, technique, and
materials.  I can hardly learn the
basics before my mind is already
brewing on how to break the
mold.  Giving life to my creations
is the fuel that feeds my soul.  I
am never more content than when
I am working with my hands.

My degree from Altos de Chavon
School of Design states that I am
a Graphic Designer.  My job at
Holy Trinity Episcopal School says
that I am an Art Teacher.  My
friends say I should be in New
York working in advertising.
I simply say that you can’t put a
label on me or what I do.  I can’t
sit still long enough for anyone to
define me.
