"Brown Stripey Kit"
Medium: Watercolor
I have always drawn "in the
margins", but about 2 years ago a
friend encouraged me to put my art
out there. I have gotten quite an
education...you can't be too humble!
To date, I have participated in two
art shows: Eustis Art League show
in January, and Lake County Fair in
April. I have exhibited at the Mount
Dora Art Stroll twice and also at the
Eustis First Friday Artist's Row, as
well at Mount Dora at Nite few
times. Last year I had booth space
at Barberville Pioneer Days.
Presently I have a hanging at Bay
Street Coffee in Eustis that will
continue until the end of July. I have
prints on display at Tavares Station
and Olivia's Coffeehouse. I plan to
participate in the Mount Dora Art
Stroll in July.
I work with my husband as a
pre-press contractor for a local
print shop. I have been working as
a commercial artist in the printing
industry since 1972.
I have been asked what my
inspiration is for my cats. There is
currently one cat at our residence,
a foundling that appeared tiny and
scared during Hurricane Jeanne.
Her name is Stormy Jeanne, but we
call her 'kitty'. I have been host to a
number of cats in my life, but my
muse merely directs my hand and
the little cats appear on the page. I
add color to bring them to life. I am
delighted that my art brings a smile
to almost everyone.
My next hurdle will be to join the
cyber community and build a
website to display my art.
Currently I have prints and
notecards available for sale. For
prices, please contact me via my
email
